KENNETH SAHR

My work is representational, based on still life, portrait, and landscape.  My paintings are oil on canvas or oil on panel.  My work process combines diverse source materials, including photographs, images from the internet or magazines, direct observation, as well as my imagination.  In my recent cupcake and portrait-based pieces, I am interested in exploring the effects of painting scale and of taking objects out of their usual context.  My current landscapes are of Maine, where I lived the last 12 years before recently moving to Hudson.
