JANE CRAKER 

From a young age art has been a driving force and passion in my life. I attended high school at Interlochen Arts Academy and went on to the Rhode Island School of Design. Following a creative stint in New York City and traveling to Taiwan, I designed shoes for Reebok and Candies. Later I started my own successful T-shirt company, selling to Barney’s and Urban Outfitters, some of which appeared in TV and print ads. Today my time is spent painting vibrant, spirited pieces inspired by the intrinsic energy and beauty that surrounds me. Influenced by the works of Chagall, Vlaminck, Emil Nolde and others, my expressionistic style uses color and emotion to create an experience of movement and aliveness that transports the viewer into the realm of the unexpected. I invite you into my paintings with symbols of flowers, objects, animals, faces and spirits which to me speak to the essence of home. “They evoke memories and sentiments of things that complete me on a deeper level."
