DORENE BELLER

I have a special affinity for narrative art.  My paintings attempt to portray the charm and humor that can be seen in ordinary life -- a baker, three old friends, a wedding party.  The inspiration for my art has come from playful photos in dusty family albums or from simple moments captured while out and about.
My work has incorporated a variety of mediums -- gouache, acrylic, oils, collage -- and a number of genres -- portraits of individuals and their much-loved pets. Most recently, I have been exploring the world of abstract art. 
I am fortunate enough to be able to express my creative voice at my painting studio in Monterey, MA.
